++ Please note: this is a continuation of my "Intro to Dutch" Levels 1 - 11 classes (110 lessons in total) ++ ++ Students who have completed all 110 lessons are welcome to sign up for level 12 ++ Welcome to Level 12! I decided to use the ongoing format for this level since sometimes we will be working on a topic for a couple of weeks in a row in order to truly grasp the concept. In Level 12, we will use what we learned in Levels 1 - 11 and expand on it. It will be a combination of grammar, speaking, reading (comprehension) and writing. We will be using longer, more complicated texts and dialogues. We'll be reviewing certain concepts (like the past tenses), but also explore the different meanings and uses of 'er'. Each lesson comes with a dialogue or text and worksheets so feel free to work on this before/after/in between meetings. A Google Slide presentation will be used during this class, but students do NOT need to access Google for this. I only use Google Slides in a screen-share. The students are asked to verbally participate in order for the teacher to give feedback and corrections. Class sizes are kept small in order to ensure that every student is able to participate. I am Teacher Glenn, a native Dutch speaker.
I moved to Los Angeles, CA, in 2011, but I grew up in Europe, more specifically Belgium.
I have been teaching Dutch since 2007, in person and online.
I have a BA in Education and an AA in Acting
In my classes I try to combine different learning tools and methods since every student is different and everyone learns at a different pace / uses different skills.
