Welcome to Letter's Home. This class will explore the second World War, through soldiers who lived it. Each week, learners will be presented with one letter written by a soldier during the second World War. The course will be presented with the help of a powerpoint presentation. While the class does...
Students will learn about history from real WWII letters.
This instructor for this course has a degree in history. Upon finishing college, the teacher for this course was employed as the Archivist at a World War II museum. As a part of this position, Amber worked to educate learners of all ages about the horrors of war, through factually contextualized and age appropriate discussions of World War II. This teacher has previously held these discussions both in person and online, and provides age appropriate, yet historically accurate information to students.

Students are encouraged to complete some research outside of class, particularly by exploring one World War II letter of their choosing. They will have the opportunity to share their letter in week 6 of class. This research can be conducted in whatever way works best for each individual family. For some, sources can be found at local libraries. The internet is also a source that yields many results when looking for World War II letters. If you need assistance locating World War II letters, please feel free to reach out to the teacher at any time.0 - 1 每週課外時間

In Week 3, the Holocaust will be discussed. The young girl whose letters are explored in this week was a Jewish girl living in France when Germany occupied the country. Her family was deported to a concentration camp, and did not survive the war. This content will be discussed with historically contextualized information. All information will be fact-based, accurate, and objective in analysis.
