Come join the FUN of creative writing! In this 5 week class we will focus on bringing out the creativity in your writing. This course is designed for learners to create original forms of descriptive writing, drama, fiction and bring FUN to writing! Whether you love writing, are looking to improve your writing or want to find a love for writing this class is for all! 

Each week there will be a focus. We will take time to write based on the weekly focus and learners will have the opportunity to share their writing pieces with the class. 

Week 1: Learner choice writing prompts
              Learners will choose from a list of writing prompts, we'll do some short story writing based on the prompt.
Week 2: 5 Senses Writing
              Learners will write and work to include their 5 senses in their short story writing.
Week 3: News Headline Swap
              Each learner will find a news headline that another learner will then have to write the story for.
Week 4: Story Writing Mash-up part 1
              Learners will write the END of their story, then the middle and then the beginning.
Week 5: Story Writing Mash-up part 2
              Learners will finish their writing mash-up short story and share with the class. 

Learners will be encouraged to share feedback with their peers and give suggestions on how they can add to their writing. 

The course will work to help learners develop and improve their vocabulary development, creative writing techniques, active listening and public speaking skills. By having different writing topics each week and encouraging peer to peer interactions students will be able to build upon their skills. 

My teaching style encourages interaction and peer to peer discussion. I enjoy writing and working to help students dive into their creative side! This is one of my favorite classes to teach!!
