Hi, my name is Teacher Alisha. I started my career as an accountant with over 10 years experience at a firm and a bachelor of science in this field; however, my true passion was teaching children. When I had my first child through adoption I wanted to spend time with her so I opened up my own family certified daycare for over 20 years. Over the last year, I have also been teaching children online English as a second language. I work with children ages 2 to 14. My world is teaching and enjoying children grow in the way they learn best. I adjust to them whether that is extending their prior knowledge or introducing new concepts. I want to connect with all of my students and engage their interests. My classes are very interactive and include everyone. Most of my classes involve some type of reading because I believe that is a strong building block for learning in all areas. My passions are math, reading, trying new things, travel, of course, teaching children and adolescents. I can't wait to meet your child(ren) in class!!
