In this class students will learn how to read, write and spell 2nd grade Dolch sight words. One sight word at a time will be displayed for students to see. I will read the word aloud and ask them to repeat the word back to me. After the word is said aloud we will roll a virtual dice to see what fun thing to do with the word. Each number on dice will tell the students to do a certain thing with the sight word such as “Say the word” or "Write your word 3 times". At the end of the class students will play a tic tac toe game using the sight words learned in class and a few other 2nd grade sight words not learned in class. This class will meet the needs of each type of learner that includes kinesthetic, visual, and auditory.

Hello I am Mrs. Keyuanna Evans. I am the teacher your child will never forget!
I have a patient teaching approach and strongly believe in verbal praise, positive correction and having fun while learning. I hope to build students' confidence and inspire them to learn. As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child engage and having that "Light bulb" moment when they understand something.
I graduated from Virginia State University with a Masters in Education with a focus in Special Education. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Recreation and Physical Education. I have been teaching elementary school for over 17 years. I have taught students in general education and students in Special Education. I have taught in both private and charter school settings.
In my everyday life, I am a wife and mother of one sweet 14 year old girl. I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family.
