每週 1 小時. After every class for the first 2 classes, the teacher will supply each child with the words from that class to practice reading. After the last 3 classes, the teacher will supply each child with some sentences for them to practice before the next class. When practicing reading, the goal isn't for the children to memorize them, the goal is for them to practice blending phonetic letter sounds together. Please don't force your child to practice. Creating a positive and supportive learning environment is the first step in ensuring a love for reading and learning! This 6 day course will help children build the confidence to read longer phonetic words. They will then use those skills and read short phonetic sentences. For the first 3 classes, we will work on reading longer phonetic words, and in the following 3 classes, we will be reading short phonetic sentences. I incorporate a lot of pictures into my classes because they help the children stay engaged. You have to admit... everything is way more fun when there are pictures involved! After every class, I post the word/sentences that we read that day, along with the pictures for the children to practice before our next class. Prior Knowledge: Children should be able to read 3 letter words independently. If they aren't quite able to read them independently yet, feel free to reach out to us and we can discuss if we think this class would be suitable, or you could keep practicing and sign up for the next session. We also have another class, where we practice reading 3 letter words. After that course, the child should be ready for this one. Please note: All transfers to another time must be done at least 24 hours before. Please ensure that the class time(s) works with your schedule.

In the third class, learners will need to print off a worksheet prior to class and also bring: a glue stick, scissors and 8 different colored pencil crayons, crayons, or markers.

The teacher for this class will either be Meghan or Sierra.
Meghan is the founder of World Montessori Academy, as well as having her MACTE Montessori Teacher training and Registered Early Childhood Educator. She has a warm and welcoming nature. Meghan actually went to Montessori when she was little! She fell in love that knew that when she grew up that she wanted to become a Montessori teacher... and look where we are now! Her dream came true and she can't wait to share her love of Montessori with you and your children!
Sierra has been teaching for 8 years. She is a Montessori Master Teacher, certified and trained through the American Montessori Society (AMS) and MACTE. Teaching is her true passion. Guiding children through academics while creating a curious environment and fostering a true love for learning is what fulfills her. Sierra is so excited to be able to share her love of Montessori online with students around the world.
All of the Montessori classes from World Montessori Academy are taught by certified, trained Montessori teachers. This ensures that you are receiving the best, authentic Montessori experience for your child.
