This class will help children deepen their understanding of fractions and practice adding and subtracting fractions. 

We will quickly review the basics of equivalent fractions, before diving into finding common denominators. We will then practice adding and subtracting fractions. Fractions can be tricky to understand, which is why I will include a lot of visual and practical examples to illustrate these ideas before introducing more abstract problems.

After a quick icebreaker, we will complete a number of activities to communicate these concepts. Class will be conversational, upbeat, and as visual and hands on as possible. Students will be encouraged to interact throughout the class, contributing to the discussion, actively working problems, and sharing their thought processes.
