In this ongoing course, learners will develop their maths skills. This course is part of a six year primary maths course that takes a problem-solving approach to teaching young learners the skills they need to become confident mathematicians. This course contains a greater focus on the use of manipulatives in the classroom, pictorial and abstract representations to promote deeper learning, language support to help EAL students develop fluency in mathematical language. Week of 19/8/24 - Square numbers Week of 26/8/24 - Cube Numbers Week of 2/9/24 - Multiplying by 10, 100, and 1000 Week of 9/9/24 - Multiplying 2- and 3-digit numbers Week of 16/9/24 - Multiplying 4-digit numbers Week of 23/9/24 - Multiplying 4-digit numbers Week of 30/9/24 - Multiplying 2-digit by 2-digit numbers Week of 7/10/24 - Multiplying 2-digit by 2-digit numbers Week of 14/10/24 - Dividing by 10, 100, and 1000 Week of 21/10/24 - Dividing 3-digit numbers Week of 28/10/24 - Dividing 4-digit numbers Week of 4/11/24 - Dividing with remainder Week of 11/11/24 - Multiples Week of 18/11/24 - Factors Week of 25/11/24 - Common Factors Week of 2/12/24 - Composite, Square, and Prime Numbers Further classes will be added.
