My private tutoring sessions are focused on helping students that are non-native English speakers converse with a native North American (US) speaker in a natural and friendly setting. Students will improve their English skills including speaking, grammar, and vocabulary by doing the following: Learning new English vocabulary words Practicing natural English conversation Correcting pronunciation and improving speaking fluency Correcting and improving conversational grammar Completing simple writing exercises (if requested by parent)
I have been teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) online for over 2 1/2 years with VIPKid. I am TESOL certified and hold a Minor in English from the University of California at San Diego. I have taught children for over 20 years both as a homeschool educator and in group in-person class settings teaching a variety of subjects including English, Science, History, and Cooking for grades K-12.
