Students will learn some key tips, tricks, and grammar rules to revise and edit their own papers. We will focus on a different topic each week. After I will teach a short lesson, students will practice the trick or rule that was taught. Practice will be as a group and interactive. Revising focuses on the paper as a whole: topic sentences and conclusion sentences, relevant details, sentence flow, and word choice. Students edit papers to follow grammar rules about complete sentences,...
Students will be able to: -revise papers for topic sentences, conclusion sentences, and relevant details. -revise papers for appropriate word choice -edit papers for correct punctuation, capitalization, spelling, and complete sentences.
I am a trained and registered writing teacher with the Institute for Excellence in Writing. I taught writing to 4th-8th graders in public and private school.
