In this 45 minute lesson, students will use the whiteboard to draw circles and find the circumference and area. We will talk about real life uses of circumference and area in circles. Students will learn the following vocabulary words: pi (3.14), diameter, chord, radius, circumference, area. We will have fun learning about circles and how to measure them. I have over 20 years experience teaching and tutoring math. I really enjoy helping students gain confidence and understanding as we learn. I am very relaxed and laid back and hope this helps students to feel comfortable while learning.
Students are welcome to use the whiteboard in Zoom or paper and pencil. A calculator, phone or ipad calculator might be helpful for multiplying bigger numbers.
