Animal lovers! Come join as each week we will draw a different animal together using a provided reference photo. All skill levels are welcome! The classes are casual in nature with the teacher being there to demonstrate, answer questions, and provide useful tips and techniques. At the start of each class, we look at our reference photo together and find the basic geometrical shapes to sketch the general structure of the animal. Students will improve their shading and blending while learning drawing techniques on different animal features like fur, feathers, eyes, and noses. They will learn to see and use basic geometrical shapes to sketch the structure of various animals.
A pet portrait and wildlife artist with over 25 years of pencil sketching experience, and over 20 years of acrylic painting experience.
-Pencil set (or medium of choice) -Sketchpad or printer paper -Eraser -Pencil sharpener -Blending stump (or Q-tips) -Provided reference photo (either printed or on another device)
