I will make every effort to have our meal completed as class ends, but there are some recipes that just take a little longer than the time we have so, students may be left with taking the meal from the oven to serve or finishing a few last minute details we do not have time for in class. I can't wait to begin making muffins with you every week! Our class needs 3 students to begin. Feel free to invite friends. It's so much fun to meet friends in class on zoom and see what they're doing! Below you'll find the first few months recipes with more to come. When I am out of town I will send you the class recorded recipe so your student can still enjoy cooking. Those weeks I will only charge $8 and the other $4 will be refunded to you. If your child has sensitivities or allergies to eggs, nuts, wheat, bananas, among other things please be aware that we do use a number of these ingredients in our recipies. Some adjustments might by easy and others might not to recipes we make. As this is an ongoing class you can move in and out of the class if you need to. I try and have the ingredient list out for the next week before you are charged Sunday. I am a very laid back instructor as there are many different levels our children are at when they are in the kitchen. I go over the steps needed to create our recipes a number of different times and encourage questions from my students all along the way. My goal is for students to realize the importance of feeling comfortable in the kitchen, and building on their confidence as a cook learning basic techniques of collecting ingredients before you begin to cook, measuring, cutting, reading through a recipe, kitchen safety, baking, cleaning up, and ultimately enjoying and sharing their creations! We at times may use knives, a hand mixer or stand mixer, the stove top or oven, or other small appliances that a parent may wish to assist with. This is perfectly fine with me as you know your students needs and skills best. We will eventually rotate the recipes, but I have many recipes, so it will be awhile before they are repeated! You will be told of changes in advance. * Please note-It's not the norm to refund each time a student misses an ongoing class as they are able to watch the class video later when they are home from a camp or vacation (I have many students who do the classes on their vacation!), or when they are feeling better if they get sick, and still receive most of the benefits of the class. I send them the ingredient list the week before, the recipe the morning of the class for their records, and then the class is recorded at the listed time. With that said there are sometimes extenuating circumstances inwhich you have no control! If you are in need of a refund in these cases please message me so we can talk! For live meetings, I wait for 10 minutes in the classroom. If students do not show, a recording will be provided but no refund.**

You know best if your child is comfortable using the oven and stove top, as well as a knife or other small appliances. If you or your child are uncomfortable with that, please be available to assist them as needed.

The list of all ingredients for each menu item will be sent as soon as you enroll and then 4-7 days in advance of the next class. (I aim for a week) The recipe will be sent to put with your collecting recipes the morning of the class.

My cooking experience began probably around 5 years old. We had 6 kids growing up plus, relatives close in age that were often around for meals. (I never learned to cook in small quantity!) Being the oldest, I always helped in the kitchen and learned to love cooking, canning and baking from a young age. I might say my mom was a great teacher! With our 5 children I felt it important to teacher them from a young age to be confident and knowledgeable in the kitchen, and to enjoy the process. I've also taught bread making classes for years.
