It is highly suggested that you first take Part 1 of this course before taking part 2! 

We will begin class with hellos and get to know you questions to make each learner feel comfortable! We will learn the basics of American Sign Language in this 4 week course. Each week, we will learn a different set of signs and master them. No experience is required prior to class. We will learn a different set of basics each week.

Our schedule will go as follows: 

Week 1: Months of the year, My birthday is in... It is... 
Week 2: Days of the week, It is.. , Tomorrow is..., Yesterday was.. 
Week 3: Animals, My favorite animal is...., I like...., I don't like...
Week 4: Review 


Each week, each learner will have ample time to learn and practice the signs. The last week of the class will be a review of all of the signs we learned in this course. During the last class, we will practice using all of the signs we have learned. By the end of this  course, each learner will be able to sign their days of the week, months of the year, animals, and everything from part 1.  

Before each class begins new material, we will review the material we have learned in previous classes so that we do not forget what we have learned. The more practice we do, the easier it is to remember.
