Let's learn about butterflies and their life cycle! In this class, we will learn fun facts about the transition from an egg all the way to our beautiful butterfly. We will explore the 4 stages of the butterfly life cycle while incorporating reading, writing, math, crafts, experiments, and more! This course is jam packed with a variety activities that are sure to keep your learner engaged and having fun all while learning!

I am a fully licensed special education teacher for grades K-12 who currently holds a Bachelor’s of Arts. I have over 13 years experience teaching children. I have taught preschool in childcare centers as well as elementary schools. For the last 8 years, I have taught in a K-5 special education classroom (adaptive curriculum) in all subject areas. I have been trained in sensory integration, alternate assessments, data collection, and project-based learning.

Weekly activities range from tracing/writing, sensory play, cut and paste sequencing, scavenger hunts, crafts, and even making themed snacks. To foster classroom interaction, students are encourage to post pictures or videos of the work they have completed. Weekly pintables, writing and coloring utensils, scissors, glue, and craft supplies. To make slime in week 3, we will use liquid starch, glue, and food coloring. To make a healthy butterfly themed snack in week 4, learners will need fruit.

Educator videos are located on Youtube. Direct links to lessons will be provided in the classroom. No personal information or log-ins are required. Parental guidance and assistance will also be required during cut and paste activities and hands-on crafts.
