學習閱讀：長元音、子音混合和二合字母（幼兒園至一年級）

This ongoing class is designed for learners that already know how to read CVC words (cat, run, bus, etc) and are looking for the next level of reading skills. This class focuses on consonant blends (bl, gr, sk) and digraphs (sh, th, ng). Instruction will focus on one blend or digraph each class. Learners will learn the sound first and then practice reading words using the sound. Learners will also learn sight words to help develop sentences. Each week, learners will be provided with a worksheet to practice writing the words. This sheet can be turned into a book to practice words at home. During class, we will play games to help reinforce the skills!

We focus on a different consonant blend or digraph each week. The weeks contain stand alone lessons so learners can join at any time!

Week of October 30: ai words (part 1)
Week of November 6: ai words (part 2)
Week of November 13: -ft words
Week of November 20: No classes
Week of November 27: -th words
Week of December 4: -pt words
Week of December 11: -ld words
