This interactive class will introduce students to 2-3 new sight words a week. We will read stories with these sight words that your child can access at home to allow for additional practice. We will practice writing, reading, and making short vowel words with 2 vowels. During these lessons, your child will have an opportunity to read, write, and learn beginning reading strategies. Students will learn beginning reading strategies. Students will learn beginning sight words. Students will learn to segment and blend sounds while doing word activities. Students will practice basic sentence writing.
Students should have access to a whiteboard and a marker (or pencil, crayon, markers, and paper). It would be beneficial if your child had access to a magnetic board or baking sheet and magnetic letters; however, your child can use the whiteboard and marker if this is not possible.
