In this 8 week course, you will learn basic Japanese such as essential phrases, hiragana writing and reading and basic grammar. Each week, you will learn certain topics described in the syllabus. After you complete each class, you have an option to submit your work (homework) for review. I will then provide feedback on the course work. This is a self paced course with pre-recorded lessons (20-45 minutes each) per week. It is not live class. I will provide feedback for submitted homework, and also answer any questions that students may have. Please allow up to 3 days for feedback and/or answers to the questions.

Students should be able to say simple phrases, and to read and write basic sentence in hiragana, and to have good understanding of grammar and sentence structures.

I grew up in the countryside of Japan and moved to United States to pursue bachelor degree, and expanded international studies in France, Spain and Mexico. I also have early childhood education in addition to BA degree. I am currently teaching after school programs at various elementary schools.
