課堂經歷
In this class, students will learn about three holidays widely celebrated in the United States: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. We will learn some new vocabulary in Spanish related to the three holidays including how to say Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, New Year's Eve, pumpkin pie, family, gifts, Santa Claus, food, and celebration. Students will have an opportunity to hear the words in English and Spanish and practice their pronunciation. We will watch a short video and see...
I earned a B.A. in Spanish from Grace College in Indiana. I had the opportunity to live and study in Madrid, Spain where I was immersed in the language and culture. I have formal experience teaching Spanish in a Texas middle school classroom for two years and have experience teaching virtually.
A one-page handout will be provided prior to the start of class.

In this class, we will discuss basic vocabulary related to the three holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve. This vocabulary will include how to say Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, New Year's Eve, pumpkin pie, family, gifts, Santa Claus, food, and celebration. We will watch a short video from YouTube to see how New Year's Eve is celebrated in Spain. This video will be followed by a class discussion of similarities and differences.
