課堂經歷

👨‍🚀 Calling all beginners! This class is for you. This is an amazing class to discover how fun coding can be.

🌟 This course is primarily focused on getting students interested in coding by learning to make the games and discovering the possibilities. This is a project based class. Students will learn as they code two really cool games.

Students need a device with a keyboard to code and an additional device to view the class. We will use the web based Scratch. Coders should open an account prior to our first class by visiting scratch.mit.edu and clickin on "join scratch" on the top right.

💻 Lesson Schedule:
Day 1- Introduction to Scratch- Coding a basic doodle game
Day 2- Learning variables, loops, and more.

The last 5-10 minutes of each class will be spent trouble shooting and answering questions.

Full tutorials and video lessons will be sent to all students at the end of each class.
As per Outschool policy, class recordings are made available only via the virtual classroom for this class.

Important Notes: 💻🤩😀
1. Coders will need two devices when taking this class. One device will be used for coding on Scratch, while the other device will be used to watch the teacher on Zoom (via the Outschool website). The coding device must have a keyboard. Using one device for this class will be very difficult and frustrating for your learner, so please make sure tht two devices are set up before class.
2. This program is best suited for kids 7 years and older. Younger kids will need SIGNIFICANT adult assistance as the coders are required to manage technical issues that may arise during the class.
3. As per Outschool safety policy, and to ensure the safety of the students, all cameras must be on for the first 5 minutes of class.

學習目標

-By the end of the first lesson, students will know how to access the Scratch coding online platform and how to access and use sprites, backgrounds, and blocks.
-By the end of the course, students will use coding blocks to create two different video games using Scratch.
