Hello English learners! My name is Teacher Kori and I have taught online ESL for 3 years. I have both the foundational and advanced TESOL certification through VIPKid and I LOVE teaching English. In this on-going course I will teach English words, phrases, and other subjects. I encourage you to bring your favorite toys, stuffed animals, art work, games, books, etc. to class each week and we will talk about them using foundational English vocabulary. I will help you learn colors, letters, sentence patterns, adjectives, pronouns, verbs, and more as we talk about the things you bring to class. Each week there will be a different topic so that all students will stay engaged and have fun while learning English! Sometimes we may bring soft things, blue things, things that are living, our favorite snack, and other fun categories that will get us chatting and having fun as we speak English together! I focus on having as much learner output as possible in each class. I have strong TPR skills (see video) and I will help students feel confident learning English greetings, letter sounds, numbers, colors, animals, nouns, and basic listening skills. I can't wait to have fun with you speaking and learning English together in this exciting English speaking club! See you in class :)

Hey parents & students! My name is Mrs. Mellor and I love to teach grades preschool-6th grade classes that include

•messy fun like paint, dirt, sand, slime, & playdough
If your child is ages 3-12 and they are learning English, social skills, or they love hands-on messy projects - then you have come to the right place! I have experience serving and teaching this age group for 10+ years. I love making learning fun for kids so that they will love learning too! I have a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies and the foundational and advanced TESOL certification through VIPKid. I have also completed numerous other online teaching trainings.
I have two little boys ages 2 and 3 so I know trucks, planes, trains, bugs, rocks, dinosaurs, monsters, and superheros VERY well ;)
I LOVE learning and I consider myself a student for life! This perspective really shapes my philosophy of teaching. I believe it is important for students to see the value behind what they are learning so that they too will learn to LOVE learning. In order to cultivate these values in my classroom I encourage students to ask the hard questions, be curious, promote self-motivation, and I focus on including every type of learner in my lesson plans.
As a family, our favorite ways to spend time together are to serve together at the local outreach center my husband works at, take long walks, and to watch movies together! We are a foster family and hope to open our doors to anyone and everyone to feel welcome. My favorite flower is a Sunflower, and my favorite food is a BLT with extra mayo and salt and vinegar chips!
I love thrifting and thrift 90% of the clothing, decor, and even some of the other things in our home! Thrifting sometimes gets a bad rap but there are so many reasons why it is a great thing. I love to share my finds and tips when it comes to thrifting so you may see a class or two that teaches the value, excitement, and how-tos of thrifting for teens.
