In this class, learners will discover Latin roots of words. This will be taught by me. Learners will be invited to give examples of words using these Latin roots such as dent appears in the word dentist. Learners will then take part in a quiz in which they must choose the correct word using a Latin root that fits into the given sentences. Learners will be able to ask me questions at any time or comment on observations and discuss with other learners. Any learner is welcome but the learner should have an intermediate level of English if they speak English as a foreign language.

To recognise and use Latin roots of words.
To be able to guess the meaning of a new word using its Latin root.
