Put on your full armor by completing each kindergarten lesson! Similar to earning merit badges, students will earn pieces of armor such as, a helmet, breastplate, sword, shield, leg harness and arm harness. 

I will use props, puppets and stuffed animals to engage students and aid in learning. Classes will include singing and well edited video lessons. Each class will build upon the former. I also include several practice homework worksheets. 

Topics Covered:
WEEK 1) Sight words and Rhyming. Review phonics for the entire alphabet! Homework: printable "find a letter" pages for the alphabet. Online rhyming game for fun and extra practice. 

WEEK 2) Introduce and review sight words. Critical Thinking using opposites. Days of the week, months of the year and seasons. Homework: Create handprint trees of the four seasons.  Online quiz for fun and extra practice. 

WEEK 3) Introduce and review sight words. We will identify shapes and count shape's sides. Learn about more complex shapes such as hexagons and octagons. Homework: Name the shape - win the cake game! 

WEEK 4) Explore math such as skip counting, simple adding, subtracting and ordinal numbers. Counting scoops of ice cream including single, double, triple, quadruple, quintuple and sextuple. Homework: Printable play-dough counting dinosaurs project.

Please note that this is not a live class but interaction is required. Learners can play the learning games and take the quizzes as many times as they'd like. If they are competitive, they will enjoy trying to trying to earn a top spot on the leaderboard. I will have a “question of the week” or “challenge of the week”. Each week will also include a show and tell portion for students to share in the classroom. They can share their favorite YouTube learning videos, their favorite toy, craft or drawing based upon the challenge of the week. When students share their answers, pictures or videos I will award pieces of armor by live video. By the end of the course, if they participate, they will have earned the full armor making them ready for kindergarten.
