Hello, families! I have an identical class to this one that meets twice a week, but a 2 week class meeting every day class was requested by a parent. This class was requested by a parent. So, here I am, creating content specifically for your young learners. I will work on alphabet recognition, letter sounds, counting, number recognition, shapes, and handwriting. We'll cover a broad area to give your learner the confidence needed to begin kindergarten. I taught kindergarten for 6 years. Then I taught first grade for another 6 years. I am certain that your learner will have SO much fun through a variety of teaching methods. I love to sing, use rhyme, and kinesthetic activities to help trigger all parts of the brain. This approach will help information stick with your child. If your young learner is already showing strengths in certain areas, please let me know! We can design our time together to benefit your students needs. My lessons can be tailor-made for your one of a kind learner! **If you have a schedule conflict, please let me know. I can often find a time for us to reschedule, or I can refund you. All I ask if for communication when situations arise.**

My name is Teacher Kender! I obtain the following: BA in theatre, early childhood certification, elementary certification grades 1-6, and a master's degree in elementary reading. The most fun I have while teaching is when I can combine the two. I love digging into books and exploring the characters. I always read with crazy expression and sound effects. My read alouds are exciting and fun! I can teach your child to read, and I can teach them how to perform well in an audition. My available classes list will vary because of my love of the theatre and my passion for lower elementary. I was a classroom teacher for six years. All six of those years were spent teaching first grade. I taught ESL online for 5 years, and I have been teaching a variety of classes on Outschool since the summer of 2020. It is my philosophy that more is caught than taught. So, being a good example for your children is key. Surrounding them with others who instill respect, knowledge, and common sense is vital. Finding a teacher who can bring information to them in an exciting and fun way so that it sticks for a lifetime... that is priceless. Let's do this! See you in the classroom.
