課堂經歷
In this one-time Kids on Broadway class, students will learn the music and choreography to Bare Necessities from Disney's Jungle Book Kids. Class will start with an acting ice breaker and go into a physical and vocal warmup. Ms. Jamie Lynn will use skills and tools learned while working for "Disney Musicals in Schools" to teach both the music and choreography together with simple call and response. This method is good for different types of learners, there is no need to read or memorize material. It will come naturally through fun repetition and movement. This class is scheduled for 55 minutes and students will have a short routine that they can show off to friends and family. This fast paced but accessible class is great for young musical theatre performers at any level.
學習目標
Students in this class will be given the opportunity to shine like a star as they sing the song of Baloo. Students will learn a basic vocal warmup getting them in the rthym of following through call and response. Students will be learning a short routine using basic dance steps and movement to tell the story of Baloo as he entertains Mowgli while telling him to take it easy and enjoy life. Students are encouraged to sing along and I always save time at the end for volunteers to sing or show-off their favorite vocal line or dance move.

Students will need an open space of at least 5 feet by 5 feet to ensure they can move and be safe of obstacles while dancing. I will have modifications ready for those who have less space to work in, as well as those with more.

I am a musical theatre instructor and private vocal teacher. I am here to help you find your voice! Need a song for an upcoming audition? Having a hard time reaching that note? What about acting the audition? Or would you like to learn how to belt properly so you don't hurt your voice? I am here! I have over 15 years experience teaching just that. I have performed all over the US and yes Broadway too. I love teaching students how to not only sing their best, but connect to the song so the audience will go any journey with them. In my Musical Theatre classes students will learn songs and dances from Broadway shows and work on acting skills making them ready for that leading role. I have a BFA in Musical Theatre with the concentration in Dance. I have owned my own performing arts studio for 10 years with two locations. I have taught StageOne Family Theatre in Louisville, Kentucky as an education associate and most recently as Musical Theatre Faculty at Patel Conservatory with Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida.
