This class is an informative and super engaging course focused on ensuring each student meets their full potential. There is no need to have any previous martial arts experience, as I am here to guide you every step of the way! I believe that learning must always be a wholesome experience, which goes far beyond the four walls of our virtual classroom. Growing up, the dojo was my second home, and 20 years later, I feel the exact same. Karate has taught me how to believe in myself, persevere, develop immense respect for myself, my peers, and my spaces. It is a genuine privilege to be able to bring my knowledge and passion to learners around the world. Thank you for making me a part of your child's learning journey!

My classes will keep you on your feet (literally)! Also, my classes focus on having important discussions regarding techniques, self-defence, and when it is appropriate to use these moves. I always encourage students to ask me questions, it is a very integral part of learning!

We will begin our class with stretching, carry forth to a fun-filled karate lesson, and then end with cool down stretches. Each class, we will focus on new concepts, so you can ensure that your learner will always walk away learning more and more. This class has been designed with learners in mind. I believe learning must always be authentic, nurturing, and a time in which each learner has the opportunity to realize just how capable and amazing they are. My classes focus greatly on confidence-building, and gaining skills, which students can take with them far beyond our virtual learning experience. I connect all classes to real life experiences, and how we can use our new found knowledge to grow as learners. 

What was the inspiration for the class? Well, the answer is super genuine: my own authentic experiences! Karate has been a huge part of my life for over 2 decades. Where does the time go? The saying is very true, indeed: "time flies when you're having fun!" When training, I always focus on ensuring that I warm up well, focus on my karate moves and techniques, get my heart beat going with a fun-filled workout, and end with a cool-down stretches. All of this cumulates into a wonderful experience, which I feel very fortunate to bring to learners!

This class is an introduction to karate and self-defence!  Nonetheless, if you have previous karate experience, this is a great opportunity to continue to practice your fantastic skills, and share your knowledge with your fellow learners. All are welcome! :)
