In this 12-week online course, students will progress to the level of Early Intermediate in the Japanese language. This class focuses on speaking, listening, and basic reading/writing skills. Class members will meet 2 times per week. The first meeting of each week will be lecture-style (with plentiful interaction) and focus on introducing the Japanese phrases for the week and discussing study strategies. Students will learn to build sentences in Japanese, speak and understand essential everyday phrases, and read Hiragana and Katakana.
I lived in Japan for 2 years. I have studied the language extensively and speak Japanese at an intermediate level. I also have experience teaching languages.
