This 4-week course will cover the basics of speaking Japanese, including basic sentence structure, the difference between the 3 alphabets, and core vocabulary/phrases for basic conversation. We will also incorporate fun facts about Japanese culture. Here are the topics to be covered each week: Week 1: The Basics & Introductions Week 2: Common Phrases Week 3: "I like..." Seasons, Colors, etc. Week 4: Travel Phrases When learning a language, even more important than hearing a word is using...
By the end of this course, students will be comfortable with introducing themselves and using basic phrases in Japanese. This course is meant to be followed by "Japanese for Beginners: Part II".
I lived in Japan for 2 years. I have studied the language extensively and speak Japanese at an intermediate level. I also have experience teaching languages.
