Hello Parents,
Thanks for stopping by! I've enjoyed teaching Early Childhood Education for 20+ years from owning a home preschool, an infant home playschool, teaching English in Japan at 12 of the local preschools and teaching online with a Japanese company when I returned to the States. I went to the University of Okinawa in Japan with a major in Japanese and CFNI in Dallas,TX with a major in Child Evangelism.
I enjoy illustrating many of my materials including flashcards, worksheets, felt stories and paper puppets. Creating them by hand or on my ipad allows me to bring fun props into our lessons while being able to tailor the lessons to my learners.
Being half-Japanese, I also love teaching little ones the language! Making Japanese fun and interactive is key so we use lots of felt board stories and games to create a comfortable atmosphere that encourages learners to use and retain the language.
My classes have a focus on:
Preschool learning
Beginner Japanese for young learners
ESL for beginners
Making crafts and being creative!
Your children may also see my toy poodle popping in the classroom from time to time! Her name is Ella and we look forward to having fun learning with your child/children!
