Moodiness, behavior changes, increased importance of friends, self esteem issues, anxiety, too much time with social media, etc., does your tween display any of these issues? How about eye-rolling, door slams, sudden outbursts, sarcasm, and the silent treatment? Children are so excited to enter the years when they are no longer seen as small children but are almost or recent teenagers. Their brain becomes more adult-like which means not living in the moment as much and more awareness. They may not realize the bumpy road ahead, are they ready? This lesson is about the importance of identifying and expressing feelings. This lesson also helps the learner recognize other people’s needs and feelings. 課 2:

I have a masters degree in education/school counseling. I have been in education for over 30 years working at all levels. I started in middle school which I loved but then was asked to go to various elementary schools. I was a little skeptical but then found I loved that level also. Finally I was asked to start some programs at the high schools. Would I be able to enjoy and have great rapport with them? Yes, loved that level too, I just love working with kids of all ages! I want students to be successful learners. Research has established that social and emotional (SEL) skills play an important role in having success in school and in life. It has even been shown that students with good SEL skills score better on tests. It is my passion and mission to help students become healthy learners and that will be the goal of the classes I teach.
I like to be outside gardening, hiking, and playing with my grandkids. I look forward to many happy and rewarding experiences with my future students.
