Homework: Look over PowerPoint from class Day 3: Learn how to say more Christmas terms in Italian (such as elves, candle, stockings, mistletoe, Christmas tree, mince pie, etc.) and learn how to say 18 Christmas terms in Italian (such as sleigh, holly, fireplace, bells, candy cane, etc.) Homework: Review the pdf picture of 11 terms we learned and create a Santa with the craft attached Day 4: Learn 33 Christmas terms in Italian (such as Jesus, church, cracker, star, chocolate money, shepherds, etc.) Homework: Review the pdf picture of 18 terms we learned and make an angle draft Day 5: We will learn parts of the song Auguri di Buon Natale (We wish you a Merry Christmas) Homework: Given Christmas papercraft cutouts of Christmas hats, paper printout cards with Happy Christmas in Italian, and flashcards of the terms gone over Day 6: Learn how to say Gingerbread man and Christmas sweater; we will discuss the Nativity story in Italian/ English Homework: Do the attached craft cutouts of designing your own paper gingerbread man, Christmas sweater, and snowman Day 7: Read through the rest of the Nativity story in Italian/ English Day 8: Review and read a PowerPoint in Italian about more Christmas traditions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Subject to change

In high school, I was only offered Spanish. I believe that taking foreign language classes opens the doors to many opportunities. My love for languages has continued to grow and at university, I took Italian. I now give students the opportunity to learn a language that they are interested in and make learning fun. I have even been known to take facts and put them into a tune to help memorize them easier!
