-Students will learn the basic facts of Shakespeare's life from his birth in 1564 to his death in 1616. -Students will gain an appreciation for the hundreds of words and phrases Shakespeare added to the English Lexicon - Students will be able to name and describe the three types of plays Shakespeare wrote - Students will learn the conventions of audience address, doubling, and Universal Lighting; the ubiquitous staging practices of Elizabethan theater.

Homework- post a phrase you used in the past week that was inspired by Shakespeare. Short writing Assignment- Read a plot summary about a Shakespeare play and then compare it to a modern book, play, show, or movie. Look for similar characters, plot, and themes.提供的評估
