This is an introduction course that helps develop basic artistic skills that pertain to drawing. The class will teach how to see like an artist and apply artistic historical concepts to illustration. The class will begin with an introduction of myself and fellow students and inquire the artistic goals of each student. I will introduce a variety of materials and words most commonly used in the artistic world. We will draw a sphere using Highlight, Mid-tone, Core Shadow, Reflected Light, and...
Students will learn artistic vocabulary and will acquire the basics on how to create depth and volume in order to enhance and practice their creative goals. After the lesson, students will be able to draw a spherical object, realistically and efficiently.
