Learn the basics of art journaling in a space where there is no judgement, no criticism, just encouragement and exploration with a side order of fun. Each class starts off with a writing prompt, followed by a new background painting technique, then we add collage while discussing composition, and finishing up with creative lettering. Journalers are free to share after each step, but are welcome not to-this is a no rules, no mistakes, can't do it wrong art class. Who is this class for? This is a wonderful class for creative young people who like to explore multiple mediums, for young people who are creative but struggle with comparing themselves to others, or who love to be creative but are sometimes shy. There really is room for all types of creatives in this class. Learners will have a chance to draw on their imaginations, memories and passions while exploring and experimenting with a variety of materials. One of the best things about this class is that the techniques are open ended-when I say "put drops of paint across the top of your page," students can choose whatever colour they want, no 2 pages look the same, and there is no comparing, or competition. Participants work on their pages at their own pace-resulting in an original and unique journal page each time. Day 1-Write four ways. Technique-mix two primaries. Day 2-Tissue paper writing. Technique-mix two (different) primaries Day 3-Bring a quote. Technique-white base Day 4-Joys and worries.Technique paint scrape

教師專業知識和證書
I have been teaching art journaling for over a decade to all ages and art abilities. If you have a creative young person who doesn't like writing, I have alternatives they can use to participate. My youngest son has learning disabilites and doesn't write, and I have a variety of strategies (none that involve any type of coercion) but pulls on a journalers strengths, so they can still fully participate. If you have any concerns about your learners ability to participate, please reach out to discuss how we can work together.
