Procreate 3 簡介：專用工具

This is the third  class in the Intro Series.  Please make sure that your student has taken the first two classes in this "Intro to Procreate" series (the donut - 1 and the rose -2).  Across the board, students that skip the first two classes and enter the series with this  class are overwhelmed and not able to keep up with students that have taken the entire series. I build on technique within each of the classes, systematically introducing new concepts - while reinforcing concepts from the previous classes.  We will move quickly.
If this is your student's first class with me, and to ensure that they get the most out of my classes, please make sure that they are familiar with: 
300 dpi
creating a canvas with enough layers and high enough dpi
brushes 
smudge tool and different strengths
eraser tool and erasing in patterns
snap tool
warp tool/transform tool/resizing images (in full and in part)
opacity
layers
the palette and color picker tool
choosing darker values, rather than black or gray to shade.
Shading and highlighting on different layers
Renaming layers
Alpha Lock
Clipping masks
importing documents
We cover more - like perspective in drawing and design elements in the first two classes- but that is extra art knowledge for students to tuck away!! In terms of the Procreate App, the above concepts are all covered in the first two classes and assumed understanding going into this third class.  
If your student is good with all of this - I think they will do great in the third  class!!
In this class we will concentrate on the more advanced aspects of Procreate, including transfer, selection and manipulating layers for the artist's desired effect.  We will look at composition and how small changes can affect the overall feeling of a painting. 
We will have fun with blend modes and we will experiment with different quirks of the program, teaching solutions to some of the most common difficulties. We will also look at applications when we do not use clipping masks/Alpha lock and painting in patterns.
We will find the formula for shading rounded objects to give the illusion of a 3D object. 
This will be a very hands on class, that moves quickly, as student's have taken the first two classes. We will  manipulate our drawings, sharing the results with the rest of the class. Get ready to have some fun- and learn at the same time!
The demo drawing will be provided- no drawing experience is required!!  Can you "Survive the Cupcake "??  :-)  
**Please note: If your student has NOT taken the prerequisite classes (this is the 3rd in my Intro series) - I reinforce concepts already covered in previous classes at an accelerated pace as much of the program is assumed by the third class. In this class we begin to work on style and breaking the rules**
