Is your child constantly banging on pots, pans, walls, and couches? Do they love keeping the beat and jamming out to music? This class is for them! Intro to Little Drummers is a great way for any learner to discover the basics of drumming, beat keeping, and the names of different drums. Class will begin with a hello song followed by a hand coordination exercise. We will then learn about keeping the beat in different tempos(speeds of music) as well as practice some quarter and eighth note...
Students will learn *The names of the different drums on a drumset *Basic quarter and eighth note rhythms *How to keep a steady beat
Drummers will need *A drumset OR 4-6 different sized tupperware containers or buckets(one large, the rest various sizes) *Drumsticks OR something that will work in place of drumsticks(wooden spoons, pencils, etc)
