This class is a first exposure to the world of Drama. We will play many games that supply foundational theatre skills. These games will encourage students to develop their imaginations, physicality/movement, and the importance of cooperation!

Through teaching students about The Actor’s Toolbox, we will discuss how body, voice, imagination, and concentration all contribute to the success of actors and their ensemble.

I am a full-time K-8 drama instructor at a local school in Wichita, KS. Theatre has always been an important part of my life. Growing up – I was fortunate to live in a community that placed immense value on this art form. My participation in theatre allowed me to come out of my shell and has fostered many meaningful friendships.
The 2020 school year created a necessity for online learning. I was initially a little worried about the feasibility of teaching drama remotely. As the year progressed, I found that online drama can still be a significant and powerful experience.
