💥 For more scheduled classes, please scroll down to “Show Alternative Times.” Speaking for the first time from the ancient Egyptian "Afterworld," King Tut puts to rest the controversies surrounding his life on the throne, the infamous curse and his untimely end. This is an amusing class where students with a sense of humor will enjoy "asking" the most famous pharaoh discovered in the past century about his life and death. Before the class interview, students will receive...
𓂀 How does archaeological excavation work? What is the relationship between sponsor and archaeologist? 𓂀 How to study myths, such as The Curse of King Tut, and try to evaluate them, using facts. 𓂀 The methods that Egyptologists and archaeologists use in modern times to examine mummy diseases, age at death and other conditions of a person living thousands of years ago. 𓂀 How to discuss ethical issues and agree to disagree with others, such as the right of modern scientists to excavate tombs that were considered sacred and never to be seen again by mortal eyes.
I hold a Certificate of Museum Studies from Harvard University and a Diploma in Egyptology from Oxford College in England. And I’ve been to Egypt three times on personalized, educational tours. I am also a certified substitute teacher in the New Mexico and New Hampshire public school systems. I've been captivated by ancient Egypt since I was 10 years old. And I feel it's my destiny to share my enthusiasm for and expertise on this beautiful and brilliant 5000-year-old civilization with all of you. I hope to see you soon in this class. I think you'll agree that The Egyptian Room is an attractive, fun and inspiring place to learn. And, please, if you like, call me Ms. Sennuwy - my chosen ancient Egyptian name.

Students will see artistic images of King Tut and his wife, photos of his tomb and mummy, and photos of the scientists who found him. There will be facts on both sides of the controversy surrounding Tut's death and tomb curse. Most information will be used from accredited historical websites and from some original research on King Tut. Please see the list of materials and resources below. I do not have any students below the age of 13 in my classes.
Happy Mother's Day! May 12, 2024. Welcome to "The Ancient Egyptian Room!" You never know what's going to happen in here. One time during a class, I asked a question about Cleopatra, and a surreal voice from somewhere inside the room answered...
