課堂經歷
In this class, the student will receive private, individualized instrument instruction from a highly-experienced teacher. In the lesson, they will complete warm-ups of various kinds, learn new pieces of music, and practice their sight reading skills. The student will learn music from their method book every week. I can work with a lesson book they are already using or I can recommend one to them. Lessons can be highly customized for your child. If your child needs help with a specific piece of music, please send me a copy or a picture of it before class. I am a very enthusiastic and supportive teacher and my goal is to focus on improving a child's overall knowledge and skillset on the saxophone. I will work to teach them saxophone performance fundamentals which are the building blocks to success on the instrument. I have a flexible schedule so let me know if there is a time that works best for your child.

Hello! My name is Jackie. I am very excited to teach your child! I got my Bachelors in Music Education at the University of Miami. At this time, I played the saxophone in many bands and ensembles as well. The bari sax was always my favorite! I love teaching children through songs, movement and fun! I am energetic and a kid at heart and love to use this to help motivate students of all levels. I was an elementary music teacher for six years. During this time I taught students K-5 singing, solfege, rhythm and note reading, recorder, ukulele and other music listening skills. I also worked with students teaching math and reading during their intervention time. I’ve directed several musicals after school including Beauty and the Beast Jr, Annie, Jr, and Aladdin Kids. I am now working as an online English, Saxophone and Ukulele teacher after having a baby during the pandemic. I hope to teach classes to promote students’ reading and English skills as well as math. Since music is also my passion, I will teach different music related classes depending on your child's interest including: ukulele, saxophone, recorder, rhythm and note reading, solfege, music movement/listening and some general music classes. I love traveling and exploring new places and especially love going to Disney World in my spare time. I can’t wait to teach your child and hope to get them excited about learning through Outschool!
