評估
There will be an opportunity for students to create their own project about a mammal of their choice. This project can be presented by posting it onto the class page. Some students may want to present their project live, since the classes are so full of content, there would not be time during the class. So, to give students the opportunity to present live with their classmates, I will allow the 8th class to extend past the 45 minute scheduled time. All students who would like to live present their project will have the opportunity and all students who would like to listen will also be able to do that.

課堂經歷

This is a series of live classes where students will be able to learn about interesting mammals all around the world. These lessons will have 10 mammals in each lesson. There are eight 50 minute lessons (80 animals total). Seven of the eight lessons will each be assigned a continent, from which we will learn about mammals that reside there (integrating continent geography into the lesson). The students will learn about the mammals themselves, and they will also learn about subjects such as endangered, extinct, vulnerable, habitat loss, conservation, climate, camouflage, geography, etc. Each week, there will be a discussion question or a Quizlet activity that the students can be involved in on the classroom page. I will stay responsive to the classroom discussions.

其他詳情

父母的引導和規範
When defining a mammal, we mention that typically mammals have live young and do not lay eggs (except for a few exceptions). I do not go into further detail about this. I do not talk about mating. If a student does, due to the ages, I will kindly try to change the subject.
供應清單
They will have the option of creating their own project about a mammals, but the way they want to go about this will be flexible with what materials that they want to use. They could create a poster, drawing, etc.

Hello and welcome!
I'm Kristin, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to meet your learner(s)! I am a certified teacher with a B.S. Ed. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. With years of experience teaching both in the classroom and online, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my teaching.

In addition to teaching, I'm a business owner and have a background as a horseback riding instructor, which adds a unique perspective to my approach. My teaching philosophy centers around not just imparting knowledge, but inspiring a love of learning. I believe that when learners develop a genuine curiosity, they are motivated to grow, succeed, and eventually inspire others.

I create a classroom environment that is safe, inclusive, and supportive of all learners, regardless of their abilities. I'm experienced in tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and learning preferences, ensuring that every student feels confident and engaged. My teaching covers a broad range of subjects, with a particular focus on literature, life skills, nature, history, and geography.

Outside of the classroom, I have a variety of personal passions: horseback riding (both English and Western styles), reading, playing guitar, dancing, dog training, learning new languages, and exploring the world through travel. I love incorporating students' passions into their learning journey and am always open to hearing feedback, ideas, and preferences to make the learning experience even more meaningful.

What is your learner’s passion? I can’t wait to help them discover new interests and grow in their education. I look forward to meeting your learner(s) soon!
