This class will focus on the art of reading and comprehension over a wide range of materials. Students will be exposed to various types of articles to evaluate and reading materials and be helped to read to their full potential. The lesson will be interactive and dynamic. students will be encouraged to engage and all will participate in the reading. each student will receive feedback on how they continue to improve in their comprehension of reading. Each week will be a different reading topic.

Students will be able to recognize letters and words is an important first step in learning to read. However, it is only a first step; it is vital that students comprehend, or understand, what they are reading. They must be able to get the meaning of the text: What is the author telling the reader? By the end of the course, students will be able to learn the art of comprehension from what they read.
