This intensive Spanish course is designed for Beginner Spanish learners with no prior experience necessary. This class is a fun way to start learning Spanish on an accelerated path. The first class of the week will discuss new vocabulary related to the theme or topic for the current week. Students will have the opportunity to learn the new vocabulary and practice pronunciation. Students will work toward Spanish fluency by learning new vocabulary weekly, practicing pronunciation and speaking in complete sentences in Spanish, as well as reading and writing practice in Spanish.
I earned a B.A. in Spanish from Grace College in Indiana. I had the opportunity to live and study in Madrid, Spain where I was immersed in the language and culture. I have formal experience teaching Spanish in a Texas middle school classroom for two years and have experience teaching virtually.

Kahoot will be utilized in class occasionally to provide students with a fun, engaging way to practice vocabulary and other skills. Some videos on YouTube may be shown to help students practice listening in Spanish. For example, a short story may be narrated on YouTube that we would listen/read together in class and discuss.
We will read some short stories or scenarios in Spanish. Some will be written by the teacher while others are from published, Spanish-Speaking authors.
