個別輔導：撰寫說明文或說服文章

During this private tutoring class, the student will learn how to write a successful expository or persuasive essay. The student will be expected to come to class with an already written essay on a provided essay prompt (or the student can provide a draft of a current school assignment). The student's essay will be examined in three domains: organization, progression of ideas, and conventions. 

During the class, the student will be able to dive deeper into the three domains and see how they apply to his/her essay. The class will include a discussion of the domains, self-reflection of the student's essay, and evaluations of textual examples from sample essay prompts. The first half of the class will focus on an analysis of the student's previously written essay, and the second half of the class will give the student the opportunity to rewrite portions of his/her essay.

SCHEDULING: If you would like to arrange a specific date and time other than what is posted, please enroll in the class and let me know what dates and times work best for you. Once we agree upon a date and time, then I'll open a new section and transfer you into that section.
