This is an introduction to a series. The students will strengthen their close reading skills, learning how to read and re-read to pull the needed details from each text they read. This skill is a bedrock for their education and state testing process.

I am offering this class because I have seen the need for it in the classroom. Students stress over state testing and day to day work when struggling with getting the deeper meaning of the text. I was able to improve my students' scores regardless of skill level, gifted to challenged.
