Wanna laugh and have fun with new people in a supportive environment? This class is perfect for kids looking to build their social skills, learn to trust their instincts, and have a blast while playing interactive games. Learn from a professional working actor who has been trained with some of the top improv/comedy schools in North America such as The Second City in Toronto and Groundlings LA.

Each class will start with a couple of warm up games to get us in the swing of things.

Week 1 (week of the 23rd of June) topic/theme: Ice breakers and intro to improv. In this class we will play a few introductory improv games that will help students feel more comfortable with improv and each other. (Name game, where in the world is…?,Big buddy, etc.) Students will learn the concept of yes and.

Week 2 (week of the 30th of June) topic/theme: Word association games. (Alphabet, one line at a time, story building).

Week 3 (week of the 7th of July) topic/theme: Learning to listen to your scene partner. (Mirroring expertise, bathroom mirror, you can say that again.)

Week 4 (week of the 14th of July) topic/theme: Short scenes and storytelling. In this class we will be playing games such as Who? What? Why?, ‘One line at a time’, and more so students can play with storytelling and group collaboration.
