Improv B.A.S.I.C.'s is the 5 keys guidelines of Improv. We cover these through multiple games and exercises designed to practice good form. We always start with fun warm-ups and then dive right into the interactive learning portion. I have simplified the desciptions of games and exercises so there there is little lecture time and more performing. I team up learners in two to three participant at a time and give them skills to practice. I am an engaging instructor that enjoys teaching. I use a evaluation formula that gives genuine praise and positive feedback for improvemnet. I will give the learners various scenareos and explain the objective of each game. They will act out each excersise with one or more partners. beginners or experienced improver are welcome.

My name is Michael Schmitt and I have been performing and teaching improv for over 20 years. I am an Voice Over Actor and love unique and engaging creating characters, plots, locations and script in multiple genres. My classes focus on communication, confidence, team building, character development and most important the benefits of Improv. Each class is highly interactive and engaging. I have given hundreds of presentations and evaluations as a member of Toastmaster International. I also competed in the World Championships of Public Speaking. I learned a great deal on delivering a professional performance and also how to watch and give constructive direction to others. I embrace an enthusiastic approach to learning and enjoy teaching the self discovery of your imagination. I am a amateur magician and have been performing slight of hand for my entire life.
