In this two-day course, the students will learn how to become fluent readers while building a solid phonetic foundation. While engaged in this course, the student will be exposed to explicit vowel instruction while integrating reading and writing. This is a great class for students just learning to read. I am a National Board Certified Teacher with many years of experience with teaching explicit phonics, reading, and guided reading. I have been teaching phonics and reading for approximately 18 years. While teaching these focus areas, I have participated in many researched based training which have given me a great foundation to effectively instruct students from day to day.
