In this class, each week the students will be introduced to five blends or digraph words and work on reading a passage using the five words mixed with simple words such as has, fix, he, can, the, etc. Fluency will build with each class. **Fluency is the ability to read a text accurately, quickly, and with expression. *The order of the class will go as follows: *1. *I am an experienced elementary reading teacher and have a great love for teaching beginning reading to children starting with the ABC’s and CVC word families and moving on to digraphs and blends. I want my students to be excited about learning to read and I feel that my passion comes thru when teaching the essential reading skills all children need.
Student should have some background knowledge of beginning sight words.
