Let's understand centers of triangles! This class is designed for students who need an introduction to the topic or who are looking for a supplement to their current geometry course. We will define the different centers, using a geogebra applet for a visual. Then we'll talk about some of the applications of centers of triangles and why we study them. We'll conclude with practice problems commonly associated with centers of triangles, including using equations of lines to algebraically find the circumcenter. I teach in an interactive, discussion-based style! Students will have a chance to voice their thinking as well as participate in the problem solving process. I will provide a practice sheet and reference sheet for continued learning after class.
