In this multi-day class, the students and I will cover how to write dialogue in creative writing short stories according to the American English grammar rules. We will talk about all the grammar and punctuation rules students need to know to write good dialogue. Then, we will study the different types of dialogue (9) and examples for each of them. Students will learn 5 grammar and punctuation rules for writing dialogue. Students will learn the 9 different types of dialogue. Students will practice all of these rules during the lecture and with a worksheet.

In the second class, students will need the worksheet we will complete in class (if the student has no access to a printer, they are more than welcome to just use it as a reference and write the answers on a separate piece of paper).
